
MILTON KEYNES OPEN & CLUB SHIELD
This competition is open to everyone, from Beginner to National Level.
This competition is also a "Club Shield" event. Points are awarded to each top three placed individuals and also the first place team in each group. The club with the most points at the end of the competition will be awarded the Shield for the current year. The shield is retained by the winning club for 1 year, when it must be returned for the next year’s competition.
GROUPS
Starters = 2 x 5 bounce voluntary routines.
Beginners = 2 x 10 bounce voluntary routines - No somersaults
Ungraded U9 / U11 - Full Twist Routine with 1/2 twist finish. Performers capable of front somersault must compete at Grade 5. Any performer who includes a somersault in either set/vol will be disqualified.
Ungraded U13/U15/U17/17+ - Full Twist Routine with Tucked front somersault finish. Performers capable of Back somersault must compete at Grade 5, with the exception of U17/17+ who are permitted to include back somi Tucked or piked in the voluntary routine only. (This is because Grade 5 U17/17+ has a straight back start) - Failure to comply with the above will result in disqualification.

EQUIPMENT: 1 x 6mm Dynamic 1 x 6mm Eurotramp 1 x 6mm Golliath 1 x 13mm Continental
RULES & REGULATIONS
From Starters to Ungraded groups, performers may wear plain coloured shorts & T-shirt or leotards. Grades 5-1 MUST wear competition attire as BG rules. SHORTIES ARE PERMITTED - PLAIN WHITE SOCKS
No tracksuit bottoms or baggy clothing.
Socks must be PLAIN WHITE. Performers will be asked by the Superiors to change them if they are not plain!
Jewellery is not acceptable under any circumstances. Taping is also NOT PERMITTED. Everything must be removed. Please do not ask for special treatment for new piercings.
Glitter is not allowed. Performers will be refused from jumping.
DOWNGRADING
Downgrading” - is defined as competitors competing at the MK Open at a lower level Grade, who have previously completed relevant Grade and Age Group routines in B.G. Graded competitions.
Within the rules of the MK Open competition, any participants identified as “downgrading” are allowed to compete, however as Guests. Guests are not included within Teams. Clubs are not penalised or prevented from entering Guests.
Consequently Individual results are disregarded towards Trophies, as are any contributions towards the Shield. The MK Open Shield is only assessed on the contribution of Individuals that are not Guests, and of Teams without Guests
PROTESTS
Any complaint must be directed through the Competition Organizer and her decision will be final. Please do not harass Superiors or Judges.
Presentations will be done soon after each morning group finishes. The afternoon groups will all be awarded at the end of the competition. Please do not harass recorders for positions.
INSURANCE
You must have suitable insurance to cover your performers at this event. Galaxy Trampoline School and "Courtside" Sports Centre will not be liable for accidents or injuries at this event. Club Managers must also have suitable qualifications for their performers.
GENERAL
We have noted issues of Performers & Spectators behaviour at previous events. We will not tolerate bad language/bad behaviour from any person. Clubs failing to supervise their performers or have spectators causing problems will be refused from future events.
Finally..... We anticipate a large entry to this years event. We will only accept 275 entries, so please submit your entries early. E-mail entries are acceptable, but cheque payment must be received before the closing date.
